Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four kids born August 9th, 1976. She was born within Beaumont Puy in Domme. Her parents were dentists and teacher recognized and backed her passion for acting and theatre at an early age, which was more important than a desire to become a primatologist due to her obsession with monkeys. As a young woman rising to the heights of fame was rapid and marked with early recognition and success. Following her studies in 1998 she was a participant in the French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching her acting career with a bang. Tautou attended in the Institut Catholique de Paris, and was a member of the church when she was an early girl. However she has now removed herself from this history. She has stated that she is not an official Catholic. In addition to her acting career she tried her hand at modeling. The model is also the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. The photography of her is also a passion and she recently exhibited her work in the Arles festival in France under the name Superficial. The photographs she takes focuses a lot on fame and celebrities. Cameras are focused on journalists who have scrutinised the actress following her sudden popularity. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame when she landed her first major role starring in the role of the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie is a global box-office success, and received accolades in award ceremonies all over the world. The film is still one of the top-performing French film on the market in US. After this film's success, Tautou appeared in an array of films ranging from British dramatics such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's long-distance Sunday of fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood through Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code along with Tom Hanks.
